A CLOSER LOOK

A blend of Blue Tansy, lavender, patchouli, and Immortelle provide soothing and healing calm to inflamed, itchy, cracked and unbalanced skin.

Organic Cupuaçu butter harvested from the Amazonian rainforest is prized for its rich content of phytosterols to benefit dry, damaged skin, polyphenols to combat free radicals in the tissues, and fatty acids to protect and moisturize. It delivers true healing, and restructuring benefits, to the skin as it improves the skin's moisture barrier and offers true hydration for improved elasticity and anti-inflammatory activity. It is said to absorb 240% water to support a plumper skin.

The exotic Blue Butterfly Pea Flower is rich in polyphenols, or proanthocyanidin, and flavonoids, which stop the harmful effects of free radicals that damage and degrade skin. It’s anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties are excellent for compromised skin, whether it be rosacea or psoriasis.

Kokum butter, long used in India for it’s superb moisturizing effects, comes from the fruit kernels of the wild mangosteen tree. It’s one of the most balanced and nutrient rich butters available for nourishing the skin. Kokum butter is rich in Vitamin E, essential fatty acids, while offering regeneration, soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. It’s easily absorbed by the skin and can even be used on problem-prone skins.

Luscious pomegranate seed oil provides antioxidant, regenerative, anti-inflammatory and repairing characteristics.

Gotu Kola, one of the most important herbs used in Ayurveda, is a master healer. It boasts a multitude of nourishing compounds and active nutrients, but it’s most effective components are said to be a number of tripernoids that have been proven to have incredible effects on tissues and cells. These components not only stimulate the production of collagen, but also increase blood flow to damaged tissues. This powerful leafy green’s antioxidants also help to reduce the appearance of scars and wrinkles, while slowing down the skin’s visible aging process.

THE RITUAL

When your skin and spirit require refueling, rub a pea-sized amount directly onto damp/wet skin directly after cleansing, or after the Rain Hydrating Mist. Gently tap or massage onto the face, neck and décolleté as a daily hydrator, either day or night.

Loving care for your balm means keeping water out of the pot.

This pot of yumminess melts from a solid to a liquid in warmer temperatures or at the touch of your skin. Your balm does not contain waxes or water. Open the pot with loving attention for it can arrive melted depending on the season or it could change texture depending on where you store it in your home. If it does, you can bring it back to form by fully liquefying it. Place it in a shallow pot, ensure the lid is capped tightly and power hot or boiled water around the jar making sure the water stays below the bottom of the lid. Let it sit in the bowl for about five minutes. Then place the jar into your refrigerator for a few hours until your balm cools down to a solid once again. You could keep it in the fridge in hot summer months if you want to enjoy an extra delicious calming, cooling embrace.

Do a patch test on a small area of skin to test for sensitivities if you are prone to reactions.

Elevate your experience: Melt Protect Soothing Balm and mix with Nourish Face Oil for a night treatment. Mix Polish Cleansing Dirt, Protect Me Soothing Balm and a little water to create a delicious scrub or mask, or spot treatment
